conditions

PAYMENTs AND DEPOSITs

Once the design and the price of your cake have been agreed I require 50% of the cost as a deposit to secure the date. I would be grateful if you could send the balance a week before the collection date. If you have placed an order which is within a week of the collection date then full payment is required. Unfortunately I won’t be able to secure your date without a deposit or release your cake without full payment. If there’s any genuine problems, please give me a call. All payments to be made by bank transfer please. By paying your deposit, you are agreeing to all the terms & conditions on this page.

designs and flavours

It’s OK to change your mind - that’s why I’ll give you up to one week before pick up to change your mind about the size, design or flavour of your cake. I will certainly do my best to accommodate any last minute changes, but unfortunately that might not always be possible. Any changes of the original design might incur additional charges to your original quote.​

cake collections

You’re very welcome to pick up your cakes free of charge from SL4 4NR. If you’re coming to collect I would be grateful if you could please stick to the agreed pick up time as close as possible. If you are running late, that’s ok, just let me know and maybe we can arrange an alternative collection time.

cake deliveries

I also offer a delivery service, if you prefer, starting at £10 for celebration cakes and £25 for wedding cakes. I can advise the delivery charge at the quotation stage.

liability

I will not accept any responsibility for any damage caused to any cakes after it is out of my care. All tall celebration cakes come boxed and wrapped in cellophane as standard. All cupcakes come in windowed cupcake boxes. I will advise you how to transport and store your cake before your cake is collected or on collection.

allergens

I am currently unable to make any cakes to cater for any allergen requirements. Full list of allergens and ingredients will be on the box. Please be aware that all my cakes are prepared in a kitchen containing tree nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, cereals containing gluten, eggs, dairy, celery, crustaceans, fish, mustard, soya & sulphites. I cannot accept any liability for any allergic reactions suffered by anyone consuming any of my products.

Cake Toppers & Charms

Many of my cakes include cake toppers, charms and other decorations. Please note, that these are in addition to the cost of the cake and not included in the initial quote unless specified. I pass all cake charms and toppers onto my customers at cost price. Some customers prefer to source their own cake toppers and add to the cake after collection. I will not accept any responsibility for any damage caused to any cakes by customers adding toppers themselves.

inedible decorations

Depending on the design of your cake, it may include inedible decorations such as wooden, acrylic or glitter card toppers or cake charms, dried or fresh flowers, balloons, figures and so on. The inside of the cake may also contain cake plastic dowels, especially in tiered cakes. It is your responsibility to ensure all inedible items are removed before the cake is eaten.​

customer cancellations / date rearrangements

If you need cancel your cake order, or re-arrange the date, please give as much notice as possible. Deposits are non-refundable but I may give refunds at my discretion. I will always do my best to accommodate my customers.

COVID-19 & sickness

In the unlikely event that I have to cancel your cake order due to a risk of Covid-19 or other sickness on my part you will be given as much notice as possible and a full refund.
