The three ingredients just need to be mixed together and poured into a lined tin - it’s as simple as that. It takes less than a minute to pulse the ingredients together in a food processor or five minutes by hand. The Nutella is easier to mix if it’s a little warm.

Easy Three Ingredient Nutella Brownies

  • Makes: 16 small brownies

  • Time: 10 mins prep + 15 mins baking

  • Cost: 19p per brownie

  • Calories: 202 per brownie

Ingredients:

  • 400g Nutella (you can buy a 400g jar to make life easy)

  • 3 medium eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • 90g plain flour, sieved

  • Pinch of salt (optional but improves the flavour)

  • Icing sugar for dredging (optional)

Method:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 C / 160 fan / gas mark 4. Line a 20cm square tin with baking paper. You can brush the baking paper with a little oil if you are worried about the mixture sticking.

  2. Mix the Nutella in a bowl to loosen. Add the eggs (and vanilla if using) and stir until smooth. Finally add the flour (and salt if using) and stir until combined. Alternatively, pulse the Nutella and eggs in a food processor until smooth, then add the flour and pulse again until just combined.

  3. Scrape the mixture into the tin and bake for around 12-15 minutes until just set. Check after 12 minutes, and if it's very wobbly bake for a further 3 minutes. Don't worry if it seems a bit soft as it will firm up as it cools. Leave to cool completely and cut into 16 small squares. Dredge with icing sugar if you like.
